Ada Bakat Ke?

Hujung minggu tak sah kalau kaki ni tak jejak luar rumah. Jadi ‘highlight’ minggu ni tak ada lah gempak mana hehehe, cuma ada sesuatu yang tercetus di minda ceh XD (maaf tapi entri kali ni sangatlah sempoi dan selamba, rindu nak cakap Bahasa Melayu tak standard hahaha) Destinasi minggu ni tak jauh, Malaysian Hall je hehehe. Ada apa kat sini? Senang cerita, The Kalsom Movement, salah satu student-led organisations ni ada buat program ‘Fundraising Launch’, yang mana nama lain dia, ‘Talent for Charity’. Menarik! Sangat menarik, bila orang-orang yang mempunyai bakat terpendam ni bercerita tentang bakat diorang. Baru kita sedar banyak betul benda boleh buat dalam dunia ni hahaha 'Bakat’ ni apa benda sebenarnya? Menurut Kamus Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, bakat ni maksud dia  kebolehan semula jadi.  Semula jadi tu, maksudnya, sejak lahir la kan? Maksudnya, memang ada dalam diri kita cuma mungkin kita tak tahu, betul tak? Contohnya, macam mana orang tu nak tahu dia berbakat dalam

This Worldly Life

Closed my eyes. Breathed in. “So which of the favours of your Lord would you deny?”                                              [Ar-Rahman, 55:13] Breathed out. Opened my eyes. I think I have been spending too much time in this busy big town that I need a real escape from the hustle and bustle of the City*. A real escape, simply means a getaway to an idyllic and tranquil place, to at least give some wonders of peace to my mind. This weekend breakout is definitely a breath-taking one. I feel closer to ‘home’, for some reasons. I definitely won’t regret saying ‘yes’ to go for a day trip to Brighton in the midst of a huge pile of readings and essays that need to be done. After visiting the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery, we went to Al-Medinah Mosque to perform our Zuhr and Asar prayer. This is one of the best mosque I have ever been. Even though there is no domes or minarets, just one of the buildings among other houses on that street, this mosque has pr

Brighton Getaway

Light rain. High humidity. 90% chance of precipitation. Those were the expectations that we first carried along with us once we stepped out the door of Arthur Tattersall House. Brighton is prominently known for its beaches. And going to a beach on a rainy day is definitely not a really good idea. But we sticked to the plan anyway, since it’s going to be a bit nasty to do the refund process for our train ticket (and I am just a bit too lazy to do that tbh). At 7.20 in the morning, it was drizzling when we left the house and set our journey to Euston Underground station. After half an hour, we arrived at London Bridge Underground station, just about 15 minutes before our train’s departure time. The journey to Brighton took about an hour, but time flew so fast that we didn’t really feel like it was that long as we were planning our trip for the day throughout the whole period of travelling. The Power of Hope

Everybody’s got an answer To a question that they need to know Still broken over one thing, I didn’t ask you, “Do you have to go?” Now I am looking for a reason, It isn’t easy, but I got to have hope… (Author’s note: I think I have this kind of tendency of manipulating lyrics from my own perspective in order to fit it in the story of my life. I’m truly sorry songwriters, I don’t mean to misinterpret your beautiful words. It’s so beautiful that I feel like it’s really close to my heart ;) hehehe) Okay, ramblings aside. Yes, as the lyric goes, I have been asking myself a question that I thought other people around me weren’t asking themselves anymore (at least, at this moment). Every single day, since the first day of my course, I keep asking myself, am I even doing the right thing? Am I taking the right course? Did I make the right decision? Or, I should have think more about it earlier? Should I actually do something more common instead? Is it really fine n
